Ellen Ford, LMHC

I am a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist based in Brooklyn, NY. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed support for:

  • Anticipatory grief

  • Sudden or traumatic loss

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Life transitions

Before entering full-time clinical practice, I worked in community health and education, facilitating access to healthcare resources and managing youth social emotional learning programs. My clinical experience spans inpatient, partial-hospitalization, and outpatient settings, where I’ve supported individuals through complex trauma and grief.

My goal is to create a safe space where you can process your experiences, build resilience, and move forward with hope.

I approach each session with curiosity, collaboration, and a focus on what matters most to you

In our first few sessions, we’ll work together to clarify your goals for counseling and create a roadmap that feels supportive and meaningful for you. I’ll guide our time with gentleness, curiosity, and encouragement, always honoring your autonomy and allowing you to set the pace.

I hope to help you navigate the pain, find moments of connection and meaning, and gradually build resilience and hope. My work is rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and a trauma-sensitive perspective.

If you’d like to learn more about my approach and how I can support you, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation call.
